President Donald Trump stands Impeached by the US House of Representatives.

History repeats itself again some hours ago as the United States House of Representatives impeached President Donald Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. This was declared through the House votes that pass both of it's two articles on impeachment brought against President Donald Trump. The first charge against the President on abuse of power passed 230-197 with two Democrats voting no and one Republican voting present while the second charge against the President on obstruction of Congress passed 229-198 with three Democrats voting no and one Republican voting present. Meanwhile, it has taken the House Democrats nearly a year to come to this point. As the leaders were to a great extent reluctant to intervene in an impeachment inquiry, that changed when new revelations about Trump and Ukraine were raised. Now the House Democrats have finished proceedings before Christmas as the process moves now to the Republican controlled Senate. Only two other US Presidents have been impeached: Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton in 1998 while Richard Nixon resigned from office before he could be formally impeached in 1974.
