NIDSA: AMOTEKUN HAS COME TO STAY

The National Ife Descendants Students Association, NIDSA joins well meaning sons and daughters of the Oduduwa Nation to take a stance on the support of the launched Southwest Joint Security Force "Amotekun". Amotekun which has created diverse opinions about her existence from all and sundry was said to be an operation that has come to stay in a press release announced and signed by the National President of NIDSA, Statesman Adereti Adewunmi Alex. The statement reads in part, "I think the environment should be put in the category of security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise what is there to defend?" Therefore, Salutatory greetings to our ever gallant South Western governors on the bold step taken. It is a paramount duty of the government to provide adequate security for her people, in lieu of this we are very proud and your heroic actions are highly and respectfully commended. Logically, Operation Amotekun is simply" The Southwest guard", Guard over life, Guard over property, Guard over our children, our future. “It is a shame and it has become embarrassing that insecurities has become the top trend and happening in the south-west states. Operation Amotekun will save us from ritual killing, kidnapping, cyber crime and others. And so we declare: "OPERATION AMOTEKUN HAS COME TO STAY! And we should not relent till the entire Yoruba land is secured. Meanwhile, this verse of the message goes strictly to our governors and the "decision makers" of Operation Amotekun, While seeking and working towards a peaceful southwest, we should not forget "Our father's land" "To defend her unity....." We believe in one Nigeria, We believe in one nation, We believe in the promises it hold, We strongly believe that that one day, it will shine like the sun and brighter than the northern star. We urge you not to use this development for political strength and strategies and, or ethnicity. Nigeria needs all our hands on desk to push it to the limelight, and we all should work towards and not against it. We urge all sons and daughters of Odùduwà nation wide to maintain peace and love for the nation. God bless South-West God bless Nigeria"
