ODSG's Okada Initiave: An Insult To Ondo Youths - Akingboye.

Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) received the news of the demeaning and belittling development in awe and colossal disappointment of Ondo state government's purported launch of motorcycles popularly called Okada, as employment initiative for the teeming youths in the state. This has left us ruminating on why governance has been reduced to a child's play in a State that is expected to be a model for performance leadership to other states in Nigeria. Procurement of keke and okada for youths in a state filled with brilliantly and mentally gifted young men ane women who have what it takes to pilot our state is a blow and contempt on intellectuals. Needless to say, it's not worthy of a development to associate with an all round blessed state like Ondo in the 21st century where our youths ought to be an envy of others. In a statement signed by the Press Secretary, Iwakun Oyeniyi, OBA hereby charges the governor to desist from wasting the state's fund on droopy, counter progressive and embarrassing projects like this; rather, tap into creating an enabling environment for youths to rise, thrive and get gainfully employed. He apologises to the youths and the community of intelligentsias whose position and image have been tentatively ridiculed and dented by this act of gross ineptitude and non-direction by the governor, and we urge them to be patient, resolute and expectant, for there comes light after the tunnel. Akingboye remains resolute and committed to the sole mandate of making the state an industrial hub and land of opportunities where every youth could make ends meet effortlessly and grow the state.
